Filipina Wife - Who Wants to Marry A Filipina?

When I was still in the Philippines, it wasn't unusual to see May-December, Filipino-foreigner couples walking in the mall hand in hand. In most cases seeing such a couple would draw stares from other Filipinos.

But the really mean Filipinos tend to mutter something unflattering under their breathe. This really got me to ask: are old, white men the only men who want to marry a Filipina wife?

Now that I am married (to a rather young-looking Korean, thank God), it's safe to say that men who have had no success with their own countrymen would want to explore their options. So this could be young men, middle-aged men to old men. It was just incidental that I saw more May-December couples back home.

What makes Filipinas more accessible than other nationalities is the fact that most of us speak English well, may be not as well as the native English speakers, but at least Filipinas who are married to English speakers can express what it is that they like and don't like.
