Filipino Women And Marriage: Are They Opportunistic Ladies?

Oftentimes, foreign men wonder what it is about Filipino women and marriage. Most of these ladies just seem to be in a hurry in finding a partner in life. All the more if they are currently residing in the Philippines. Although, this may stand true for some but never for the general female population.

Meet  Filipinas On Cherry Blossoms!

The issue of Filipino women and marriage may be evident in the hundreds of online Philippine dating sites where there are as much as 200,000 members in one site alone. This style of dating has actually become a norm than fashion. It is an accepted way of life nowadays.

With the use of the internet as a powerful tool for communication, Filipinos in general have learned to take advantage of that fact. They are so fond of using social networking sites such as Facebook, twitter accounts and many more. If you visit the Philippines you could almost find an internet shop on almost every corner in a city. It is being flock by Filipinos of all ages and classes.

There are negative feedbacks on Filipinas though hoaxing foreign men dry of their hard-earned money, like an internet vampire bat lurking in the shadows. Never take this as a whole because these are but a small percentage of the total online population. The remaining online population is in search of genuine relationships. In fact, a great number of women who register on online dating sites are well-off, based on Philippine society standards.

In the Philippines, if a woman gets past the age of thirty she must get married or will forever be haunted by it from family, relatives, friends and even new acquaintances. They would assume that the woman is too choosy or that no one is courting her at all. Sometimes they would be branded as lesbians or maybe too career-oriented. She may be too dominant or successful that no Filipino man would dare woo her. The most preferable age to get married is between the ages of twenty-four and twenty-nine.

The family is the most important unit in the society and the Filipinos have put that into heart. They apply it by wanting to have a family themselves in the most appropriate age possible. It is something that keeps the community going. It gives them a sense of purpose and accomplishment. Even though the rate of unsuccessful relationships is high there is still more focus on the children afterwards.

As for foreign or mixed marriages, most of them declare that they are happy and content with their Filipino wives. Asked if they could do it all over again would they still make the same decision? The answer was a resounding "Yes!"
The thought of filipino women and marriage is match made in heaven for a lot of men around the world.
