If you’re in this situation right now, here are some things you can do.
1. Ask yourself what you did wrong
Nobody ever said that finding a Filipino woman - or any woman for that matter - is easy over the Internet. But just because you didn’t find any Filipino love in the past, it doesn’t mean you never will. Remember the times when you talked to Filipino women. Did you sound cocky without meaning to?
IT'S HAMBUGERO, NOT HAMBURGER |
Within Filipino culture, people who sound too confident (cocky, boastful, etc.) are often frowned upon and are branded “hambugero” in Bisaya (the language spoken in Cebu) or “mayabang” (the language spoken in Manila). Those two words are NOT at all flattering.
Filipino women prefer men who are down-to-earth and yes, respectful. When you already know where you went wrong, it’s time to get up and start again.
2. Commit to emailing at least ten women per day
Online dating is basically a contact and numbers game, meaning your success largely depends on the number of Filipino women you contact.
But you don’t have to write a new email every time, that will just drive you crazy especially if you hate writing.
Do some independent research about locations in the Philippines - how else will you be able to check the story of the Filipino woman you’re talking to? Knowing more about the Philippines will help you increase your belief that the women at the Filipino dating sites are real.
4. Understand that the Filipino’s English is not perfect
While most Filipino women speak English, the majority are not able to speak and understand the language as perfectly as native speakers can. So, if you’re at one of those Filipino dating sites, there’s really no room to be subtle.
Speak your mind clearly, but don’t be rude, and leave no room for misunderstanding. If there’s someone you’d like to be your girlfriend, ask her if she’d be interested in a long-term relationship with you.
