One thing I can say about the majority in the Philippines is that we’re not at all vegetarian. We find it shocking (and crazy), to say the least, that some people actually prefer to be vegetarians.
If you’re vegetarian, the last place you should be looking for a date is the Philippines . You’ll have no sympathizers there, except in very few places.
So, what kind of food do most Filipinos like?
We like them greasy and tasty. The food that easily comes to mind is the lechon, or whole roasted pig. This one easily takes the cake for being the representative food of the Philippines .
We usually eat during special occasions on feasts and special occasions. It’s actually very tasty, in a very greasy sort of way. This goes well with beer. If your Filipina girlfriend is the typical Filipino, she'll most likely list this food as her favorite, or at the very least, say it's "masarap" if she speaks Tagalog, or "lami" if she speaks Bisaya. Or she could speak it differently if her mother tongue is neither Bisaya nor Tagalog. (We have over 100 languages in the Philippines).
