Filipino Women - Three Ways To Tell You Are About To Get Scammed

While Filipino women are generally good and decent people, the fact is that there are women out there who want nothing from you except your cash. In this article, we will tell you the telltale signs that a Filipino woman trying to rip you off and what you can do to prevent it.

1. She solicits sympathy

Take note of this when you're online looking for a Filipino wife: while the Philippines is a third-world country, most people there have enough to eat three square meals a day, maintain a few house appliances, and have the money to buy a cheap mobile phone.

The only thing most Filipinos can barely afford is travel overseas for leisure. Most of them travel abroad for work. If the Filipino woman you are talking to complains about how poor her family is, chances are she's merely trying to solicit sympathy to get cash. If you really want to be rude, ask her where she gets the money to pay for her internet connection if she's really that poor.

2. She's been bumming around for too long

Philippine culture actually places a high premium on getting a college degree and working after that. Most Filipino children actually indulge their parents in this, and study until they finish a four-year degree from some college or university. They then look for jobs. Most Filipinos are college graduates by the time they're in their early 20's.

If the woman you are talking to is a 25 to 30 year old who doesn't have a job and spends the whole day chatting and not going to school for post-graduate or doctoral studies, she's probably dating Western men as a full-time job. At a coffee shop that she owns, a friend once told me she knew of a Filipino lesbian who was able to collect one million pesos (over $20,000) from the different men she dated online.

3. She tells you about sick family members

This is the most commonly-used bait. A scammer will tell the story of sick family members with a sad note about how they don't have the money to pay for hospital bills. One day her mother would be sick, then it would be her grandfather or some other family member the next.

It is sad but it's true, some Filipino women do things at the expense of unsuspecting foreign men. While you may say to yourself that it can never happen to you, the truth is that even highly-educated men from the United States have fallen victim in the past.

Your best defense really is common sense and to commit to NEVER sending money to a Filipino woman in the Philippines unless if you know her very well.
